MIXED MEDIA Instructor: Carolyn Ritter Supply List The material list will be discussed the first day of class. You are not required to have everything on the list. Bring what you have and we will go from there. You will need the sketch book, pencil, and eraser on day one, and some of your favorite photos. In at least one class we will work from a still life. Small sketchbook for thumbnail sketches and value studies. Photos 2B or ebony pencil and kneaded eraser. Assortment of brushes (including synthetic and a 2" flat brush) Palette Knives Water based paints (ACRYLIC and/or water color.) Acrylic inks stretched Canvas (not canvas board), 140 lb. water color paper, or gessoed masonite or hardboard panels . masking tape acrylic gel medium **Golden Acrylic glazing medium Acrylic flow improver spray bottle of water Misc. " found" items- ( gauze, plastic wrap. tissue paper, alcohol, paper towels, drinking straws, small sticks, a candle or oil pastels, stamping and stenciling tools. **CREDIT CARDS*, grout spreader, squeegee, or kitchen spatula for scraping. Small sponge paint roller. |
