Learn exciting ways to make your acrylic paintings rich with the use
of glazing and textures. We will work on how to give your paintings
more punch with the use of color, contrast, and the elimination of
clutter. Discover how to be spontaneous, develop your intuition and
follow your heart in your approach to painting. The class will be taught
through lectures, demonstrations and critiques. The class is suitable
for all levels.

Silk and Batik 101, Plus

This class will introduce a surprisingly easy, fun and inexpensive
technique of painting on silk. All skill levels are welcome. Actually, no
artistic experience is necessary. Anyone can create a vivid, luxurious,
yet affordable silk piece. Painting on silk lends itself to a variety of
applications: fine art, wearables, scarves, purses, home furnishings
etc. So, learn to create your own one-of-a-kind silk originals.

a Stained Glass Artist?

Session 2: Mar. 20, 27, Apr. 3, 10, 17
Robert Obering, a local stained glass artist, will teach you the fundamentals of design, construction and assembly of your own artistic creation!
Beginners will learn the basics of stained glass using the copper foil method.
Advanced students will learn to create 3-D items with assistance from the instructor.
Instruction includes pattern preparation, cutting glass, copper foiling, soldering and finishing.
Advanced students will provide their own tools and supplies.
The tools and materials for the beginning students will be supplied for a $25 lab fee.
