KidsArt
With many of the art programs being reduced or eliminated in our schools, ArtCenter
Manatee fills the gap and adds enrichment to the lives of our students. After school and
summer programs challenge children ages 4-15 to think creatively while meeting new
friends and having fun. Scholarships for economically disadvantaged children are awarded
when funding is available.
After School
The after school program is designed for children ages 6-10. In each 5 week session, children
will explore a medium such as drawing, painting or pottery.
Winter Camps
New for the 2011 holiday season we are offering a a short run of camps for our KidsArt and Emerging Artists ages 6-15.
Summer Camps
Summer is always fun and lively at ArtCenter Manatee. Our Sprouting Artists, ages 4 and 5,
have an opportunity to express their creativity with age appropriate activities. In Talented
Tuesdays, children ages 6-10 explore a variety of mediums in this once a week camp. If
they want more, this age group can attend 1 week camps from 9-3 Monday through Friday.
Older children, ages 11-15, are challenged in weekly morning camps where they can learn
pottery, jewelry design, drawing, painting and more.
We thank the following sponsors for KidsArt scholarships:
Service Club of Manatee County
Women’s Leadership Initiative
Creative Arts Association of Lakewood Ranch
Transportation Control Systems, Inc.
