"Through the Blue Door 2"
Geza Darrah's "Through the Blue Door 2" explores the blurred line between conceptual,
technical photography and shooting intuitively, regardless of the camera’s technical functions
(or lack thereof). Images of trash, industrial decay, scrapes from car wrecks and highway markings
become transfixed - political statements, paintings, sumi-e brushstrokes and dramatic abstracts.
Whatever the process - broken or toy cameras, medium format or a large format camera customized
for hi resolution digital - "Through the Blue Door 2" conveys the artist’s concept, regardless of
the circumstances.
