The Dynamic Human Figure

Perfect for illustrators, fashion designers, comic book illustrators,
computer animators and art students who are interested in taking the
human figure to the next level. The class will develop into technical
aspects of drawing and painting, such as proportion, line qualities, light
and the figure in perspective and in motion. Also, the narrative aspect
will be taught for those interested in story board. This class will also be
great for students and artists interested in building a portfolio. A model
fee will be collected for the five weeks at the first class. The fee will be
determined by the number of students attending the class.

Learn to draw anything with simple methods of observation.
This class covers the essentials of drawing and painting from a very
simple object found in nature to the human figure, landscape or still
life. This course will cover basic drawing techniques such as line
drawing and perspective, light and shadow, and how an object is
affected by various sources of light.

Learn how to draw in a basic manner. Use of pencil and conté are to be
used for this beginners and intermediate class. You will begin to possess
the power to develop a 3 dimensional object on a 2 dimensional surface.

Session 1: Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov. 2 – Landscape Clouds
Session 2: Nov. 9, 16, 23, 30, Dec. 7 – Creating Believable 3D Spheres and Cubes
Learn how to use chalk pastels in their brilliant and subtle ways. Several demonstrations will be given each session such as
blending and layering of colors to produce unique results. Personalized techniques will also be shown for each student’s needs.
Bring photo references to paint from in the subject matter you enjoy the most.
