This will be an excellent adventure into the power of the pencil. Great
paintings start with a great foundation, and that’s what we will specialize in here during our session’s of Great Graphite. Not only are there tips for layouts but also some more in depth studies for wonderful renderings. In an easy going atmosphere with plenty to learn we will provide ourselves the ability to create great layouts for painting studies and future projects.

Follow in the footsteps of the masters by keeping a sketchbook! Learn about
various sketchbooks and materials; practice observation skills as we meet
in different locations; develop sketching techniques using the principals of
composition & design. Establish the habit of daily sketching wherever you are!

Learn how to use chalk pastels in their brilliant and subtle ways. A topic of
discussion and demonstration will be given at the start of each session.
Personal attention and techniques will also be shown for each student’s
needs. Bring your photos to paint from for the subject of that session. All
levels welcome.

Drawing by Observation Made Easy - Supply List

Learn to draw anything with simple methods of observation. This
class covers the essentials of drawing from a simple object found in nature to
the human figure, landscape or still life. This course will cover basic drawing
techniques such as the effectiveness of gesture drawing, line drawing and
perspective, lights and shadows, and how an object is affected by various
sources of light.

Figure Drawing Made Easy - Supply List

Complete anatomy for the artist in easy steps. This class is ideal for figurative
artists and art students who are interested in taking the human figure to the
next level. The class will develop into technical aspects of drawing, such as
gesture drawing, proportion, line qualities, lights and shadows, movement,
and the figure in perspective. We’ll go over the basic mechanics of the figure
using the objective observation approach and complete training on muscle
groups.
