Learn basic techniques of this beautiful and sensuous medium. Practice
handling of the medium with flat washes, graded washes, wet on dry,
wet-into- wet and other experimental techniques. Through still- life subject
matter, we will explore the formal elements of art. Instructor will conduct

So you know how to use watercolors and many of its techniques. But if you want to know how to design and develop your
watercolor style, these classes are for you. Learn how to compose and develop a better understanding of the design elements
that make paintings sing! You will work from a photo reference that you bring to class based upon the subject of concentration
for that session.

If you are interested in getting started in watercolor, this course has your
name on it! (That includes artists who are already proficient in other
media.) You will learn basic watercolor techniques and principles of
color theory by completing several fun and informative projects in the
classroom. The class can be repeated, as this long-time artist/teacher
will work with students as they achieve proficiency.

Watercolor Explorations

Graciela’s enthusiasm for painting and a positive attitude promote a
creative atmosphere in her classes. During these painting sessions,
students will be encouraged to discover individual strengths and the
many possibilities of this medium.
