The Power of Color -
Learn how to Use It Supply List
Instructor: Julie Hanson
Fridays, 1:00 – 4:00
Session 1: Jan. 13, 20, 27, (No Feb. 3), 10, 17
Session 2: Feb. 24, Mar. 2, (No Mar. 9), 16, 23, 30
Session 3: Apr. 6, 13, 20, 27, May 4
Use the power of color relationships to set your painting apart from the crowd.
This class will show you how. Though these skills have developed from the
Impressionist style of painting, this is a very contemporary use of color. We
paint the ‘temperature’ of color. So, why limit your paintings to value and color
alone . . . add temperature! Format of class is structured first, third and last
weeks of the five classes with the second and fourth open studio so that you
can also work on your own projects with the instructor’s individualized help.

Creative & Expressive
Landscapes
Instructor: Joseph Melançon - Supply List
Wednesdays, 1:00 – 3:00
Session 1: Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25*
Session 2: Mar. 14, 21, 28, April 4, 11
Improve your painting skills by seeing color and design differently. Add some
expressive human figures and learn more about creating mood, light and
depth in your scenes. Learn also the essentials of perspective for good size
relationships. I will demonstrate a quick painting in each class so you can see
exactly how to do what I teach. Each student will get instructive critiques of
their work. I will be using acrylics but students can use any painting media.
Some painting experience would be helpful.
